1. ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS

By registering for and participating in Depilex Launchpad (“the Competition”), you (“Participant,” “you,” or “your”) agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not register for or participate in the Competition.

The Competition is jointly organized by Inspiring Women Pakistan (“Inspiring Women”) and Depilex Beauty Institute (“Depilex”), collectively referred to as “Organizers.”

2. ELIGIBILITY

2.1 General Eligibility

To participate in the Competition, you must:

  • Be a female undergraduate student currently enrolled in a recognized university in Lahore, Pakistan
  • Be between 18-30 years of age at the time of registration
  • Be in your 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of university studies
  • Form or join a team of 3-5 members
  • Pay the registration fee of PKR 3,000 per team
  • Provide accurate and complete registration information

2.2 Ineligibility

The following individuals are NOT eligible to participate:

  • Employees of Depilex, Inspiring Women, or their immediate family members
  • Previous winners of Depilex Launchpad competitions (if applicable)
  • Individuals who have violated these Terms and Conditions in any previous competition
  • Teams that fail to meet the structural requirements

2.3 Team Requirements

  • Each team must consist of 3-5 members
  • All team members must meet individual eligibility criteria
  • Teams must designate one team leader for official communications
  • Team composition cannot be changed after Stage I submission deadline without Organizer approval

3. REGISTRATION AND FEES

3.1 Registration Process

  • Registration opens on December 10, 2024
  • Teams must complete the online registration form and submit required information
  • Registration fee of PKR 3,000 per team must be paid through designated payment methods
  • Registration is complete only upon receipt of payment confirmation

3.2 Non-Refundable Fee

The registration fee is NON-REFUNDABLE under any circumstances, including but not limited to:

  • Withdrawal from the Competition
  • Disqualification
  • Cancellation by team
  • Non-advancement to subsequent stages

3.3 Registration Deadline

Registration closes at 11:59 PM PKT on 31st January 2026. Late registrations will not be accepted.

4. COMPETITION STRUCTURE

4.1 Stage I: Initial Submission (January 5th – January 31)

  • Teams must submit a a minute long video including:
    • Fun team introductions
    • Campaign slogan/tagline
    • Visual moodboard pdf
  • Submission deadline: January 31, 2026, 11:59 PM PKT
  • Top 15 teams will be shortlisted and announced on February 4th, 2026
  • Selection decisions are final and non-appealable

4.2 Stage II: Mentorship Day (February 7, 2026)

  • Mandatory attendance for all shortlisted team members
  • In-person session at designated third-party venue in Lahore
  • Participants must arrive on time and remain for the entire session
  • Failure to attend may result in disqualification

4.3 Stage III: Final Pitch Day (February 14, 2026)

  • All 15 finalist teams must present their complete strategy
  • In-person pitch at designated venue
  • Presentation time limits will be strictly enforced
  • Winners will be announced on the same day

5. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS

5.1 Ownership of Submissions

  • All submissions, presentations, materials, and ideas created during the Competition become the joint property of Depilex and Inspiring Women upon submission
  • Participants grant Organizers a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, and distribute all submissions for any purpose
  • Depilex reserves the right to implement any strategies, ideas, or concepts presented during the Competition without additional compensation

5.2 Original Work

  • All submissions must be original work created by team members
  • Participants warrant that submissions do not infringe on any third-party intellectual property rights
  • Use of copyrighted materials must be properly licensed and attributed
  • Plagiarism or unauthorized use of third-party content will result in immediate disqualification

5.3 Confidential Information

  • Participants may receive confidential business information about Depilex’s Kids Salon line
  • Participants agree to maintain confidentiality of all non-public information
  • Confidential information must not be shared outside the team or used for any purpose other than the Competition

6. JUDGING AND PRIZES

6.1 Judging Criteria

Submissions will be evaluated based on:

  • Strategic thinking and market insights
  • Creativity and innovation
  • Feasibility and practicality
  • Presentation quality
  • Brand alignment with Depilex values

6.2 Judging Panel

  • Judging panel consists of Depilex Founder, Inspiring Women Founder, and Depilex Marketing Head
  • All judging decisions are final and binding
  • No correspondence regarding judging decisions will be entertained

6.3 Prizes

  • Total prize pool: PKR 300,000 in cash prizes
  • Additional prizes: Depilex gift vouchers
  • Prize distribution will be determined by Organizers
  • Winners must provide valid identification and tax documentation to claim prizes

6.4 Prize Conditions

  • Prizes are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash equivalent
  • Winners are responsible for any applicable taxes on prizes
  • Prizes must be claimed within 60 days of announcement
  • Organizers reserve the right to substitute prizes of equal or greater value

6.5 Internship Opportunities

  • Top performers may be offered 3-5 internship positions at Depilex
  • Internship offers are at the sole discretion of Depilex
  • Internship terms and conditions will be subject to separate agreement
  • There is no guarantee of internship placement

7. PARTICIPANT CONDUCT

7.1 Expected Behavior

Participants must:

  • Conduct themselves professionally at all times
  • Respect fellow participants, judges, and Organizers
  • Comply with venue rules and regulations
  • Attend all mandatory sessions and events

7.2 Prohibited Conduct

Participants must NOT:

  • Engage in any form of harassment, discrimination, or bullying
  • Use offensive, abusive, or inappropriate language
  • Attempt to gain unfair advantage through dishonest means
  • Disrupt Competition proceedings
  • Damage Competition materials or venue property
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations

7.3 Disqualification

Organizers reserve the right to disqualify any participant or team for:

  • Violation of these Terms and Conditions
  • Misconduct or inappropriate behavior
  • Submission of false information
  • Plagiarism or intellectual property violations
  • Failure to attend mandatory events
  • Any other reason deemed appropriate by Organizers

8. LIABILITY AND DISCLAIMERS

8.1 Assumption of Risk

Participants acknowledge and accept all risks associated with participation, including but not limited to:

  • Travel to and from Competition venues
  • Physical presence at Competition events
  • Use of Competition materials and technology

8.2 Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

  • Organizers are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from participation
  • Organizers are not responsible for technical failures, network issues, or submission errors
  • Organizers are not liable for loss, theft, or damage to personal property
  • Total liability of Organizers shall not exceed the registration fee paid

8.3 Indemnification

Participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless Organizers, their officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:

  • Participant’s breach of these Terms and Conditions
  • Participant’s violation of any law or third-party rights
  • Participant’s negligence or misconduct

9. MEDIA RELEASE AND PUBLICITY

9.1 Consent to Use

By participating, you grant Organizers the right to:

  • Photograph, video record, and audio record your participation
  • Use your name, likeness, voice, and biographical information
  • Publish and distribute such materials in any media format
  • Use submissions and presentations for promotional purposes

9.2 Marketing and Promotion

Organizers may use Competition materials for:

  • Social media content
  • Website promotion
  • Marketing materials
  • Educational purposes
  • Impact reports and documentation

9.3 No Compensation

Participants will not receive compensation for use of their name, likeness, or Competition materials in promotional activities.

10. DATA PROTECTION AND PRIVACY

10.1 Data Collection

Organizers will collect and process personal information in accordance with the Competition Privacy Policy.

10.2 Communication

By registering, participants consent to receive Competition-related communications via email, phone, and social media.

10.3 Data Sharing

Personal information may be shared between Inspiring Women and Depilex for Competition administration purposes.

11. MODIFICATION AND CANCELLATION

11.1 Right to Modify

Organizers reserve the right to:

  • Modify Competition structure, timeline, or requirements
  • Change venues, dates, or format
  • Update these Terms and Conditions at any time
  • Participants will be notified of material changes

11.2 Right to Cancel

Organizers reserve the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Competition if circumstances beyond their control make it impractical or inadvisable, including:

  • Natural disasters or extreme weather
  • Public health emergencies
  • Technical failures
  • Legal or regulatory requirements
  • Insufficient participation

11.3 No Liability for Changes

Organizers are not liable for any losses or damages resulting from Competition modifications or cancellations. Registration fees remain non-refundable.

12. GENERAL PROVISIONS

12.1 Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Pakistan. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in Lahore, Pakistan.

12.2 Severability

If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

12.3 Entire Agreement

These Terms and Conditions, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between participants and Organizers.

12.4 Waiver

Failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other provision.

12.5 Assignment

Participants may not assign or transfer their rights or obligations under these Terms and Conditions.

14. ACKNOWLEDGMENT

BY REGISTERING FOR THE COMPETITION, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT YOU HAVE READ, UNDERSTOOD, AND AGREE TO BE BOUND BY THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS.
